Ryan Gosling, known for his role as Ken in the live-action adaptation of 'Barbie', has voiced his disappointment regarding the Oscars snub of co-star Margot Robbie and director Greta Gerwig. Despite Gosling's nomination for Best Supporting Actor, the omission of key figures from the critically acclaimed film has sparked discussions within the industry.

Gosling, who shares the Best Supporting Actor nomination with co-star America Ferrera, didn't hold back when expressing his feelings about the absence of Gerwig and Robbie from the major categories. The live-action version of Barbie revitalized the iconic doll's legacy and garnered both critical acclaim and commercial success.

In a statement released by Gosling, he acknowledged his honour and surprise at being nominated for portraying a plastic doll named Ken. However, he emphasized the integral roles played by Gerwig and Robbie, stating, "There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no Barbie movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally celebrated film."
