Akron Children’s Hospital in Ohio celebrated Taylor Swift's upcoming album release in a heartwarming way. Four newborns in the hospital's neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), including a set of twins, were dressed up in adorable outfits to mark the occasion. The tiny patients were styled in showgirl costumes and custom friendship bracelets, while some even wore Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs jerseys. This fun event wasn't just about the album release; it also celebrated the babies' milestones in the NICU. Parents joined in on the fun, participating in a lighthearted photo shoot with their little ones.

NICU nurse Ann Rochat said that the event was born out of the staff’s own fandom. "We have a lot of team members who are Swifties. With Taylor’s album release coming up, we thought it would be fun to see if parents wanted to dress their babies up," said Rochat.

Rochat said that the goal went beyond celebrating the album. She continued, "I think it’s really hard to be in the NICU. There are good days and bad days. This was a nice distraction, something positive for families to take away."

The adorable costumes for the NICU babies were crafted by Marybeth Fry, a family care coordinator at Akron Children’s Hospital. Nurse manager Sofyia Lizhnyak added a special touch by making custom friendship bracelets for the tiny patients. These bracelets are a nod to Taylor Swift's fans, known as "Swifties," who often exchange them at her concerts, inspired by lyrics from her 2022 song "You’re On Your Own, Kid."
