Tim Allen Teases What To Expect From Toy Story 5

Tim Allen, is known for voicing the iconic fictional character Buzz Lightyear in the Disney-Pixar. He spilled beans about him reprising his role and plot of the fifth film in the popular franchise.

As quoted by Deadline, Allen revealed, "I can tell you that it's a lot about Jessie. Tom Hanks and I do -- Woody and I do realign. And there's an unbelievable opening scene with Buzz Lightyears. I can give you that, but I can't give you much more.

Jessie, the cowgirl doll, a fan-favorite character from 1999's Toy Story 2 was brought to life by Joan Cusack's iconic voice.

About Toy Story 5 Plot

Andrew Stanton directs the new instalment, which follows Buzz, Woody, and friends as they navigate a world dominated by electronics.

'Toy Story 5 will focus on the story after the ending of Toy Story 4, which was released 5 years ago in 2019 when Woody and Buzz parted ways. Then, the former joined Bo Peep, embracing life as a 'lost toy,' while Buzz stayed with Bonnie and the rest of the gang. The upcoming chapter will reunite the iconic characters with some new faces to make the journey more thrilling.

When to watch Toy Story 5

Andrew Stanton’s directorial Toy Story 5, which he co-directs with McKenna Harris, who has produced Elemental and directed the Disney+ animated short Ciao Alberto, is scheduled to release in cinemas on June 19, 2026.
