Wednesday Season 2: Jenna Ortega is ready to return to Nevermore Academy for another semester as the popular Netflix show Wednesday is coming back with the much-awaited second season this year. Wednesday Addams will be back to the mystical boarding school with a new supernatural mystery in store for its viewers. Makers dropped the teaser trailer of season 2 which will premiere in two parts.

Wednesday Season 2 Teaser Trailer

The first part of the teaser shows the dark side of Wednesday as makes a killer impression after setting off the alarm at airport security. She handovers her secret weapons including brass knuckles, a medieval spiked ball flail,a machete and others. Then, second half shows how she is looking forward to spending time with her roommate Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) at the academy. When Wednesday Addams' mother Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) says "This is the first time you've ever willingly returned to a school and asked her "How does it feel?" while she dropped her off at the boarding school. To this, she replies, "Like returning to the scene of a crime." She can be seen dressed in an all-black uniform.

However, her journey at the academy won't be without challenges, as she'll have to confront old enemies, including her institutionalized ex-boyfriend Tyler Galpin, revealed as the Hyde behind the season one murder. The teaser introduces Steve Buscemi as the school’s new principal. The new season of Wednesday promises to deliver a spine-chilling supernatural experience with eerie elements like creepy dolls and a spooky carnival. The teaser also features a dialogue accompanied by spooky visuals, which states, "Wherever there's murder and mayhem, you will always find an Addams."

Wednesday Season 2 In Two Parts: Release Dates

Wednesday new season will be released in two parts- Part 1 will premiere on August 6, 2025, while Part 2 will stream on September 3, 2025. Each part will consist of four episodes.

 

Wednesday Season 2 Cast

Besides Ortega, fans' beloved characters Luis Guzman (Gomez Addams), Joy Sunday (Bianca Barclay), Fred Armisen (Uncle Fester) and Catherine Zeta-Jones are also making their return. Lady Gaga, Steve Buschemi and Billie Piper are making their debut. The show will see guest stars including Jamie McShane, Joanna Lumley, Joonas Suatamo, Fred Armisen, Christopher Lloyd, Thandiwe Newton, Heather Matarazzo and Frances O’Connor.

Creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar are returning as showrunners for Wednesday Season 2. The new season is co-directed by Tim Burton, Paco Cabezas, and Angela Robinson.
