A tragic and chilling case has emerged from Ohio, where prosecutors say a man not only planned the murder of his pregnant girlfriend but also signalled his intentions by requesting bereavement leave before committing the crime. On March 4, 2023, 26-year-old India Kinamore was fatally shot inside her Colerain Township home, the very day she was set to give birth to her child. Prosecutors allege her boyfriend, 30-year-old Kayvon Warren, orchestrated the killing with the help of two accomplices, turning what should have been the happiest day of her life into an unthinkable tragedy.
Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich announced Thursday that Warren, along with Robert Ervin, 20, and Lamar Morris Suggs, 22, has been indicted on 13 counts, including aggravated murder, burglary, and felony assault. “This should have been one of the happiest days of India’s life,” Pillich said. “Instead, the father of the child conspired with two others to kill her. It is heartbreaking.”
A Premeditated Crime
Investigators say Warren pressured Kinamore to get an abortion, but state law prevented it. Facing financial struggles, including the loss of his home, and allegedly involved with another woman, Warren sought a deadly way out. Prosecutors claim he enlisted Ervin and Suggs to help stage the murder as a burglary.

Authorities uncovered a disturbing clue when Warren requested bereavement leave from work before Kinamore’s death. Combined with financial records, phone logs, and extensive interviews, the evidence pointed directly to Warren’s involvement.
Crime Scene And Aftermath
According to prosecutors, the three men broke into Kinamore’s home around 6 am on March 4. Armed and ready, they fatally shot her, then fled the scene, leaving behind a shattered family and community. The staged burglary failed to mask their crime.
A two-year-long investigation by Colerain Police and county detectives uncovered the conspiracy, culminating in the indictments. Warren is being held without bail, while Ervin remains jailed on a USD 300,000 bond. Suggs’ bail conditions have not been disclosed.
Justice For India And Her Baby
Prosecutor Pillich emphasised the severity of the crime and vowed accountability. “My office will see that justice is done for both India and her baby,” she said. If convicted, the men could spend the rest of their lives in prison.
