The National Weather Service in the US issued a "serious" warning on Monday, stating that powerful Santa Ana winds are likely to return on Tuesday, making the situation worse for the administration. The weather service released the warning for Los Angeles County and nearby Ventura County, adding that combination of powerful wind and low humidity can intensify the fire. It further stated that the wind can also affect the preparations done by the authorities till now.
The situation in LA is not so normal as the weather department referred it as a "Particularly Dangerous Situation". Meteorologist Ariel Cohen in the weather service office informed that this level has been previously used only five times in the history of the department, NBC News reported. The weather department stated that the wind is likely to be at its peak on Tuesday and urged the residents of the two counties to avoid doing anything that can spark a fire.

Though these warnings are very rare in nature, California Governor Gavin Newsom on Sunday night clarified that weather department has issued similar warnings four times in the last three months for Southern California.
"PDS Red Flag Warnings are for the extreme of the extreme fire weather scenarios," the weather department's LA office posted on Monday. "In other words, this setup is about as bad as it gets. Stay aware of your surroundings. Be prepared to evacuate. Avoid anything that can spark a fire," the post further stated.
Earlier on Monday afternoon, President Joe Biden in his address stated that he was "saddened" by the incident. He stated that Biden and his wife "are deeply saddened by the devastation", adding that the incident was unprecedented. He confirmed that he is in regular touch with the authorities, and is takin updates about every details. He also stated that he has instructed the administration "to respond promptly to any request for additional federal firefighting assistance."

"My Administration remains laser-focused on helping survivors and we will continue to use every tool available to support the urgent firefight as the winds are projected to increase," Biden said. The reports from the weather department has emerged at the time when the administration is trying to control the deadly fire that has taken 24 lives till now.
