The Trump business empire has rolled out a new product ahead of the US holiday season, unveiling Trump Vodka with a distinctly patriotic theme. The launch, led by Eric Trump, has drawn widespread attention online — not only for its branding, but also for the irony that President Donald Trump has long described himself as a lifelong teetotaler.
Eric Trump Announces Pre-Orders Online
Eric Trump, the second son of the US president, posted a promotional image of the vodka bottle on X, revealing that pre-orders were now open through the official Trump Vodka website.
“So excited to announce that @trumpvodka is available for pre-orders!” he wrote, sharing a photo of the bottle featuring the American flag and the slogan “The Great American Spirit” stamped in bold yellow. According to the website, shipments are scheduled from mid-December 2025 to early 2026, aligning with the festive and New Year retail push.

Mixed Reactions Flood Social Media
The announcement triggered immediate debate online. Some users praised the brand’s patriotic theme, while many highlighted the contradiction between the product and Donald Trump’s personal stance on alcohol. “When it comes to milking things, the Trump administration hands down got the best hands for the job,” one user wrote. Another added, “President doesn’t drink. Son launches vodka. Only the Trumps could pull that off.”
Comments also referenced the president’s older brother, Freddy Trump, whose long battle with alcoholism shaped Trump’s lifelong abstinence. “Donald Trump doesn’t drink. His brother died from alcoholism…” one user pointed out. Another post quipped about the family’s pending product delays, “Pre-order the vodka on the Trump phone that you still don’t have!”
Why Donald Trump Avoids Alcohol
Donald Trump has repeatedly said in interviews that he has never consumed alcohol, smoked, or used drugs. Speaking to CNN in 2018, he noted, “I’m not a drinker. I can honestly say I never had a beer in my life.”

His views stem from a painful family history. Freddy Trump’s struggles with alcohol and his early death at 42 left a lasting impact. Trump has often recalled his brother warning him: “Don’t drink. Don’t drink.” The president has said that this advice played a decisive role in shaping his habits and discipline.
The Trump Organization continues to expand its consumer-facing ventures. The family already has a footprint in real estate, hospitality, golf resorts, and various branding partnerships. Earlier this year, the organization confirmed plans to enter the telecommunications market with “Trump Mobile,” although its rollout has faced delays. The brand also licenses watches, apparel, and other merchandise.
