YouTube Down? Alphabet-owned YouTube said on Wednesday that it has resolved an issue impacting video streaming services for several thousand users globally. YouTube said in a post on X that users should now be able to play videos on YouTube Music, YouTube TV, and its main platform without specifying what caused the issue.

At its peak, at 7:55 p.m. ET, 366,172 users in the US had reported issues with YouTube, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from a number of
sources.

Thousands of outages were also reported in the UK, Canada, and Australia, Downdetector showed. Downdetector's numbers are based on user-submitted reports. The actual number of affected users may vary.

Tricks to solve YouTube down: Social Media users suggestions

Meanwhile, users rushed to social media sites to show their frustrations. Some of the users posted tricks to solve the issue. Although it is not clear whether these tricks are working for all users or for some selective ones.

"#YouTubeDown for all that have an ad blocker active. Turn off #AdBlock to make it work again. Stupid decision - I pay for premium anyway and especially then dont want to get blocked when I get no ads anyway. @YouTube," read a comment on X. "#YouTubeDown on Desktop #YouTube it's been like that for at least 30 minutes, is it happening for anyone else?" another user commented.

"If your YouTube stopped working then try turning off "Adblock Plus - free ad blocker" extension as I turned that off and instantly fixed, realised after my laptop had zero issues but my desktop did #youtubedown #youtube," commented third user.
