WWE: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, known for his celebrated WWE career, is also an avid follower of other action sports like UFC. When asked about possibly stepping into the octagon for TKO's upcoming event, The Rock surprisingly revealed he'd be topped by a specific opponent - a former UFC champion - and wouldn't stand a chance against him.
The Rock discussed the historic UFC White House game set for next year. When asked to choose a rival, he initially called Tom Aspinall, the reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion, but quickly turned his pick to the legendary Jon Jones, one of MMA's most dominant figures.
“I got to go with the Heavyweight Champion, Tom Aspinall. I got to go with him, it’s either at the top or … you know what, I’m gonna walk that back, I’m going with Jon Jones. Me, Jon Jones, guarantee he knocks my jaw into another zip code. He f*cks me up," The Rock said in a recent Complex Sports interview.
The Rock showed no hesitation in acknowledging his limits, openly admitting that he'd be beaten by Jon Jones in a theoretical battle, with no chance of succeeding if the two were to face off inside the octagon.
“He’s my boy, and against Jon, I could not. You’re being kind, though. I appreciate it,” said The Rock.
Meanwhile, Johnson starred in the film "The Smashing Machine," directed by Benny Safdie, where he brought to life the story of Mark Kerr, a former UFC Heavyweight Champion.
