Apple iPhone 15 series has been in the news for massive details churning by the rumour mill. While we have heard a lot of information that ranges from the possible Type-C cable to the new Action Button on the 'Pro' models, the latest leaks claim that the company might ditch the Gold colour variant this time.
According to a 9To5Mac report, it is believed that the Cupertino-based tech giant may skip this colour for the 'Pro' models. The news outlet added that a Gray model may replace the shade that could be termed "Titan Gray."
This colour shade will likely be lighter than the Space Black but darker than the Silver variant. Besides the new colour, the company is reportedly planning a shift to titanium instead of stainless steel for the construction of the side frame.
Beyond the Gold shade, the company may also swap the Deep Purple in favour of a dark blue finish on the 15 Pro. In the past, the company introduced new paint jobs on its latest iPhones that change every year. As per the report, the company previously released Midnight Green, Pacific Blue, Sierra Blue and Deep Purple colour options. And on the expected lines, the Purple options might go away in favour of a new shade this time around too.
Speaking of the non-Pros, the vanilla and Plus could arrive in green, black, yellow, blue and pink colour iterations. As for the release date, the company may announce the 15 series on September 12. Moving to other changes, Apple is expected to bring an Action button (that could replace the Mute Switch), an upgraded zoom lens in the primary setup, A17 Bionic chip, and a USB Type-C port.
Reports have also tipped that the company will likely rename the '15 Pro Max' to '15 Ultra' this time. You can read more on this development here.
