Discord, a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) app that lets users connect via calls and texts is now back after service disruptions in the United States and other countries. While the platform witnessed a massive outage in the US, the Downdetector graph also peaked in countries like the United Kingdom (1,991 reports) and India (294 reports) at around 02:00 PM.

As per the outage monitoring platform, among the affected users in the US, 59 per cent faced issues with server connection, 23 per cent complained of issues while sending messages and 18 per cent reported problems with the app. The outage graph peaked at 02:00 PM with 9,228 reports in the US. Discord has not issued a statement on the outage yet.

Coming to India, out of the total 294 reports, 55 per cent faced issues with server connection, 25 per cent reported problems with the app and 20 per cent registered problems were centred around sending messages.

Users on X (formerly called Twitter) echoed their concerns on the Elon Musk platform. One user tweeted: "Is anyone having problems with Discord rn?" Another one said: "Is it me or everyone else having problem with Discord." A third one said: "Discord fix your servers."

Used by over 150 million people across the globe, the platform allows users to connect via video, voice and text-based communication with friends and communities.

Discord Down Update: 02:41 PM 

It seems the service is now back to normal as the outage reports have shrunk to 75 in the US. In India too, the outage numbers have considerably declined. What caused the problem is still unclear as the company is yet to issue a statement. However, users can tune back into the service and start using Discord as usual.
