US-based tech company Humane has unveiled its first AI Pin. This innovative device can transform a hand into a Laser Ink screen, which users can use to interact with the gadget. A wearer can tilt and roll their hand to interact with the gadget and give out commands. Powered by Cosmos software, it leverages AI to respond to queries.

Humane AI Pin Specifications

The laser output can project 720p resolution and has an operation distance of 20cm to 40cm. AI Pin comes with a Gorilla Glass Victus screen. It is constructed from aluminium for durability and weighs 34.2g (its battery pack weighs 20.5g). The device has an AI Mic which supports VoLTE calling and a Personic speaker for sound output. You can also pair a Bluetooth headset for personal use.

AI Pin's surface accepts gestures and touch responses for commands and sends feedback using the Trust Light and Ultra-private Beacon. AI Pin can personalise messages, write emails, summarise messages and more. It gets an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon chip with 4GB RAM and 32GB eMMC storage. As for connectivity, the device offers Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.1, and eSIM support.

This accessory can clasp from clothes ranging from shirts to jackets. It gets a lithium-ion battery and custom wireless charging. The AI Pin sports a 13MP AI ultrawide camera to capture photos from the surroundings at 4208x3120p resolution. You can access these photos from the web app of Humane. The company notes that these features can change over time, and "a subscription is required to use AI Pin."

Humane AI Pin Price And Availability

The AI Pin starts from $699 (about Rs 58,300) and will be available in the US from November 16. It comes in three models: Eclipse, Equinox and Lunar.
