FIFA 2026 World Cup: President Donald Trump on Monday introduced the "FIFA Pass," a special fast-track visa program for individuals with tickets to the 2026 World Cup.

This initiative allows ticket holders to prioritise their visa interviews, ensuring they're able to attend the tournament.

The "FIFA Pass" initiative allows World Cup ticket owners to expedite their visa appointments. This program, officially known as the "prioritised appointments scheduling system," enables ticket holders to prioritise their visa interviews.

The Trump administration is balancing rigid immigration policies with the anticipated inflow of global travellers for the mega event.

“If you have a ticket for the World Cup, you can have prioritized appointments to get your visa,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino, who was in the Oval Office with Trump on Monday to explain the new system.

“You said it the very first time we met, Mr President, America welcomes the world," he added.

Trump said Monday that he “strongly” urges World Cup visitors to the US to apply for their visas “right away.”

“We're going to do the same vetting as anybody else would get. The only difference here is that we're moving them up in the queue," Secretary of State Marco Rubio said.

“If we think there's gonna be a sign of any trouble, I would ask Gianni to move that to a different city,” Trump said of Seattle.

The FIFA president spoke about the issue without committing to moving host cities, stating that “I think safety and security is the number one priority for a successful World Cup” and that “we can see today that people have trust in the United States," citing the number of tickets that have already been sold.
