Morgan Stapp, a 32-year-old mother of seven from Indianapolis, was arrested on July 8 and charged with attempting to commit child sex trafficking, according to Marion County court records reviewed by USA TODAY. She was released from jail after posting a USD 100,000 bond.
According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by People, Stapp allegedly sent explicit messages to a man on November 1, 2024, offering her infant daughter for sexual assault in exchange for money. The messages, sent via Snapchat, reportedly included three photos of her 7-month-old daughter along with the text:
“U can f** her for USD 400. Half now rest after. I’ll send my address. I do live alone, and her dad is not in the picture.”* Snapchat’s safety systems flagged the messages and alerted authorities. Ten days later, FBI agents visited Stapp’s home in Indianapolis for questioning.
Denial And Investigation
During the November 11, 2024, interview, Stapp allegedly denied sending the messages, claiming her Snapchat account had been hacked. She told agents she had received an email stating her account was permanently banned due to “online commercial sex transactions.” She also expressed concern about losing family photos stored on the account.
Investigators obtained a warrant for her Snapchat account and discovered that only one device, her own, had accessed it. Detectives also uncovered thousands of messages sent between October 29 and November 1, including 81 messages where Stapp allegedly offered to sell nude photos of herself to pay for baby diapers.
Stapp was arrested on July 8 at her home on Union Street in Indianapolis. She faces a single charge of attempted child sex trafficking. If convicted, she could be sentenced to 10 to 30 years in prison. Her next court hearing is scheduled for September 15. The FBI’s investigation remains active.
