Agra News: A video from a spa centre, modelling girls for prostitution, has caused an uproar on social media on Friday. The spa is situated 300 metres away from New Agra police station and did not have any name.
The purported spa was being run on the upper floor of a building near Abu Ulah Dargah Cut. On Friday a video of the incident went viral on the internet. In the video, a man posing as a customer asked one of the staff members to show the girls, to which the member said, 'show him' and subsequently two girls came out of a room, cat walked in front of the man and went back inside. After this, the receptionist asked the man for Rs 1000 and told him to go and talk to the girls himself. However, the young man left on the pretext of bringing his friends to the salon.
The spa is reportedly illegal as in order to operate a spa there are certain measure to be practised such as:
-It is necessary to have a diploma in Unani medicine for massage to operate a spa.
-It is necessary to have a physiotherapist on site in the spa centre.
- Man or woman can not provide massage services to the opposite gender.
-To operate a spa, it is necessary to obtain a licence from the Unani Medical Officer, however, the department has not issued any licence for years.
Despite violation of all these rules, the local police claimed the spa centre to be legal and licensed.
