Viral Video: There is a thin line between dark humour and bad humour, and surprisingly, not many comedians understand the difference. Social media is full of ace comedians who never fail to make their audiences laugh, however, the internet is also filled with the ones that mostly leave the masses offended or confused. Creating a similar rift yet again, a comedian, Vidushi Swaroop, made headlines with her recent comedy piece. Aiming to address sociality and its handling of the profession of prostitution, Swaroop presented a comedy skit on the topic. However, the show instead left people divided as some found it funny and others called it ‘disgusting’. Many also pointed out the ‘disrespect’ that was evident towards prostitution during the show. A video of the same was shared on social media and went viral in no time.
The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the user ‘Deepika Narayan Bhardwa’. The post was captioned, “5 minutes se soch rahi hu ki kya likhu isko describe karne ke liye lekin itni vaahiyaat comedy hai ki shabd hi nahi mil rahe (I have been thinking about how to describe this video since past 5 minutes, but this comedy is so demeaning that I’m out of words).”
