A minor in UP’s Bulandshaher was gang raped in a moving car and her friend was thrown on road, leading to her death, NDTV reported. The rape victim later managed to escape from the car in Bulandshaher and reported the incident, which led to the arrest of three individuals.
According to the victim, the accused picked up two women from Greater Noida on the promise of providing them jobs on Tuesday. The women were supposed to be dropped in Lucknow. Police were informed that the accused had brought beer and drank while on the way to Lucknow.
The accused pushed a woman out of the car near Meerut district after a fight between the accused men and women broke up. The minor, who was still in the car, allegedly suffered a gang rape by the three accused. She managed to escape near Khurja in Bulandshahr district, about 100 km from Meerut. After reporting the incident to the police, the accused's Kia Seltos was intercepted on the Aligarh-Bulandshahr Highway, leading to an encounter.
The accused were identified as Greater Noida residents Sandeep and Amit, and Ghaziabad resident Gaurav.
According to Bulandshahr SSP Dinesh Kumar Singh, the two accused, Gaurav and Sandeep, were shot in the leg during the encounter. Police recovered two illegal pistols, live and empty cartridges from them, the report added.
An FIR was registered at Khurja Police Station on Wednesday under relevant sections of the Bharat Nyay Sanhita in connection with the incident.
