A departmental action was also initiated against former Sub Collector Ram Vilas, Om Prakash, Dhruv Shukla and Sanjeev Kumar Upadhyay, NDTV reported.

CM’s action came after the reluctance of the officers was brought to light through a complaint under the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) regarding the illegal occupation of village land by Satya Prakash Dubey, who was killed by the mob.

As per the report, one Prem Yadav went to Satyaprakash Dubey's house on October 2 to get things sorted in a land dispute case. While the duo was talking, a woman attacked Yadav with a sharp object. He later succumbed to his injuries.

As the news of  Yadav’s death went fervidly viral across the village, a mob of his supporters barged into Dubey’s house. They killed Satyaprakash Dubey and four other members of his house. Besides Dubey, his wife Kiran Dubey (52), daughters Saloni (18) and Nandani (10), and son Gandhi (15) were killed in the attack.

Additional police force was deployed in the village to prevent the fallout of the incident.
