On the occasion of Dev Deepavali in Kashi on Wednesday, a "confluence of lamps" will be witnessed at all the city's ghats.
Key events planned include:
Special Ganga Aarti: Ceremonies will be organised at Namo Ghat, Dashashwamedh Ghat, Sheetla Ghat, and Assi Ghat.
Ghat Illumination: According to Tourism Minister Jayveer Singh, the programme will commence with the lighting of lamps at all ghats from 5:15 pm to 5:50 pm.
Laser And Projection Show: A show at Chet Singh Ghat will vividly display Kashi's mythology, spirituality, and culture through light, sound, and 3D effects. It will be presented in three phases:
- First Show: 6:15 pm to 6:45 pm
- Second Show: 7:15 pm to 7:45 pm
- Third Show: 8:15 pm to 8:45 pm
Green Fireworks: A green firework display, described as a major attraction for tourists, will take place from 8:00 pm to 8:15 pm opposite Lalita Ghat. This "shower of colours" is intended to convey the message of greenery, cleanliness, and ‘Green Kashi’.

The Tourism Minister stated that Dev Deepavali is a "festival of Kashi's soul and faith." In line with this, the ghats have been decorated on the theme of women's empowerment, and a special glimpse of 'Operation Sindoor' will be shown at Dashashwamedh and Rajghat.
