The family of Arun, a Sonipat resident killed in a police encounter, has contested the official account of his death, claiming the encounter was fake. Arun was accused of being involved in the recent firing incident at the home of Bollywood actress Disha Patani.

His family is now demanding a high-level investigation into the matter. They insist that Arun was innocent and had no prior criminal record, not even an assault case against him. Furthermore, they have denied that the man seen in a photograph of the alleged shooters, released by the Uttar Pradesh Police, is Arun.

The Official Account

According to the Special Task Force (STF), the encounter took place on Wednesday evening as part of a joint operation involving the Haryana STF, the Delhi Police Special Cell, and the UP STF. Two men were killed in the shootout: Ravindra, from Kahni village in Rohtak, and Arun, from Mayur Vihar in Sonipat.

The STF claims both men were wanted shooters associated with the Goldy Brar and Rohit Godara gangs, with a reward of Rs 1 lakh on each of them.
