Ghaziabad: Security Guard Kills Wife, Jumps Off Building In Indirapuram's Shakti Khand 4; Condition Critical

Sunil Rajat, a security guard at a building under construction in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, strangled his wife, Ranu, to death. The couple was from Damoh, Madhya Pradesh. According to police, Sunil took the extreme step following a domestic dispute and later attempted suicide by jumping from the building.

A security guard allegedly strangled his wife to death on Thursday morning at an under-construction building in the Shaktikhand-4 area of Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, before attempting to commit suicide.

According to ACP Indirapuram Abhishek Srivastava, the accused, Sunil Rajat, murdered his wife, Ranu, following a quarrel. After killing her, he jumped from the first floor of the building in a suicide attempt.

Sunil has been admitted to a local hospital where he is currently undergoing treatment. His condition is reported to be serious. The couple were originally from Damoh in Madhya Pradesh and Sunil was employed as a security guard at the building where the incident took place. Police are investigating the matter further.
