To accommodate the passenger rush for Dhanteras and Diwali, Roadways has increased the number of buses on the Delhi, Kaushambi, Noida and Jaipur routes.

People begin traveling to their homes for the Diwali festival starting from Dhanteras, which falls on a Saturday this year. It is followed by Sunday and Diwali on Monday, creating a three-day holiday. Anticipating the rush, as most passengers travel from the Delhi area, Roadways has enhanced its services.

Regional Manager of Roadways, BP Agarwal, provided details on the expanded operations:

From Delhi to Agra: A total of 116 buses will operate from Delhi's Sarai Kale Khan bus terminal.

From NCR to Agra: 201 buses will run from Anand Vihar, Kaushambi, Gautam Budh Nagar, and Noida.

From Jaipur: 80 buses will operate to Agra, while 50 buses each will run to Kanpur and Lucknow.

From Agra (Outbound): 300 buses will be operated from Agra to various other districts, including Aligarh, Hathras, Etawah, Firozabad, Etah and Kasganj.

These increased bus services will operate on all the specified routes from Dhanteras until October 30.

Staff Deployed at Stoppages Buses also pick up passengers from various points, including the Transport Nagar flyover underpass, the Abu Ullah Dargah cut on the New Agra bypass, Water Works, and Rambagh. Roadways will deploy employees at these locations to manage the arrangements.

Inquiry Counters Open 24 Hours For passenger convenience, inquiry counters at the Inter-State Bus Terminal (ISBT) and the Idgah depot, which experience the highest passenger traffic, will remain open 24 hours.
