UP News:  Fate took a surprising turn for Alka Devi, 42, whoupset over her daughter's love affair, hired an assassin to kill her but instead got herself murdered by him. The hitman, who was supposed to kill the daughter, turned out to be her lover. He made a deal to kill Alka in exchange for a marriage proposal, police said. The incident came to light on October 6 when the cops found the body of Alka in a field under the limits of Jasrathpur police station of Uttar Pradesh's Etah district.

Gripping details, which emerged after the revelation, have become the talk of the town, and it began with Alka going to Etah to plead a case on October 5. She went out in the morning but did not return, prompting her husband Ramakant to call her on her phone - which was already turned off.

Ramakant, who had been searching for Alka nearby since then, received a call from police on Sunday evening who asked him to come and identify a body.

After identification, the body was sent for post-mortem. Ramakant registered a case against two men from his village - Akhilesh and Aniket. Reportedly, they were accused of luring and kidnapping Alka's daughter and thus became the prime suspect in the case.

However, it was when the kidnapping case first surfaced that the deceased Alka decided to send her daughter to her maternal home in Sikandarpur Khas village of Farrukhabad district. According to an NDTV report, her daughter fell in love with 38-year-old Subhash, a convicted criminal who had earlier served 10 years in prison. Subhas also got her a phone to talk to her, but somehow Alka got the wind of her daughter's newfound relationship.

Upset over the affair, she hired a man to kill her daughter in lieu of Rs 50,000. Little did she know that the man she hired for the assassination was Subah - the lover of the daughter.
