With the festive season underway, crowds in trains have begun to swell, prompting the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) in Hapur to go on high alert.

Squads are actively making announcements in trains to raise passenger awareness, with warnings like, "Be careful at the station, your belongings could be stolen." To facilitate this, RPF and GRP personnel have been equipped with Bluetooth speakers.

RPF Station House Officer Rakesh Yadav stated that orders have been received from senior officials to maintain a state of high alert. The Delhi-Moradabad rail route sees a large number of passengers, and the initiative aims to keep them safe. Travelers are being advised to look after their belongings, such as mobile phones and wallets, and are strongly warned against accepting food or drinks from strangers. In case of any trouble, passengers are being informed to call the railway helpline number 139.

"All personnel have been instructed to keep the speakers on continuously to raise passenger awareness," Yadav said. "The highest number of incidents occur during the festive season. Therefore, we are making passengers aware of the dangers of 'zehar khurani' gangs (groups that drug and rob passengers) and urging them to report any trouble."

In addition to the awareness campaign, authorities are also checking suspicious individuals and their luggage and taking action against ticketless travelers.
