Two new dengue patients have been found in the last 24 hours, with test reports for both coming from a government lab. With these new cases, the total number of dengue cases in the district has crossed three hundred, reaching 301.

The new patients found in the 24-hour period are:

A 66-year-old woman in Vasundhara and a 43-year-old man in Sanjay Nagar.

The condition of five patients admitted to various hospitals is reported to be serious. At the District MMG Hospital's dengue ward, four dengue patients and more than eight seriously ill fever patients are currently admitted. The total number of malaria patients in the district stands at 86.

In response, health department teams surveyed 196 homes in various areas, finding and destroying dengue mosquito larvae in 63 of them. Notices have been issued to the relevant parties.

District Surveillance Officer RK Gupta stated that while the number of fever patients is increasing, fewer are testing positive for dengue, which "indicates that dengue is not as dangerous this time."

Gupta announced that a campaign will run until November 20 in dengue and malaria-affected areas. During this campaign, health teams will conduct door-to-door testing of fever patients for both dengue and malaria.

He also issued the following advice to the public:

- Do not let water collect in homes or on roofs.

- Clean plant pots regularly.

- Empty tubs in bathrooms before leaving the house.

- In case of fever, do not take any medicine other than Paracetamol (PCM). Use any other medication only after consulting a doctor.

- Sleep under a mosquito net at night and wear full-sleeved clothing.
