To ensure uninterrupted electricity for consumers during the upcoming festive season, the Ghaziabad Electricity Corporation has launched a month-long maintenance campaign starting Monday, which will continue until October 14.

During this period, power lines, transformers, and other equipment across the district will undergo repair and servicing. Naresh Kumar Bharti, Chief Engineer of Zone-Two, stated that the campaign includes tasks such as repairing loose and broken wires, topping up transformer oil, trimming trees, replacing old jumpers, fixing transformer oil leaks, and cleaning substations.

The corporation aims to ensure that consumers experience no interruptions in power supply during festivals. Bharti added that whenever a shutdown is necessary, consumers will be notified 48 hours in advance, and no shutdowns will be carried out on major festival days.

Additionally, the maintenance month will also allow the corporation to complete work related to its business plan. Officials emphasised that regular maintenance will strengthen the power system and enhance reliability for all consumers.
