A woman is on a ventilator and her 6-year-old daughter has died after a fire broke out in their flat in the Tila Mor police station area. The fire was reportedly caused by a short circuit in a fridge.

The incident occurred in a flat located behind the Tulsi Niketan outpost. Due to the fire, the residence filled with smoke, causing the woman and her child to faint. A team from the fire brigade arrived at the scene, brought the fire under control, and immediately rushed both victims to Delhi's GTB Hospital.

The child, identified as 6-year-old Saina Parveen, later died at the hospital. Her mother, 30-year-old Sabbi Parveen alias Pinki , remains on a ventilator.

During inquiries, the woman stated that the family had moved into the flat on rent just two days prior to the incident. Sabbi Parveen's husband, Mohammad Zakir, is an auto driver and a resident of Bulandshahr.
