Traffic congestion in the Rajnagar Extension area is set to ease soon, as the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has decided to widen the Outer Ring Road from 45 metres to 60 metres under the Zonal Plan. The Total Station Survey has been completed, and the final report is expected within a week.

Rajnagar Extension, home to nearly 65 societies and over 1.5 lakh residents, faces heavy traffic daily, especially from vehicles heading towards Delhi via Muradnagar, Modinagar, and Meerut.

GDA Vice-Chairman Atul Vats said the road expansion will smooth traffic flow and benefit commuters. Along with the Outer Ring Road, several other roads will also be developed at a cost of around Rs 60 crore.
