The Income Tax Department conducted a raid on the flat of a meat trader in Scardi Green Society, Pandav Nagar, near NH-9, on Monday morning. The operation began around 6 am, with more than 10 officers, accompanied by police personnel, searching for the flat.

The meat trader, who resides with his family in Tower 1-D, came under the department’s scrutiny due to unusually high-volume transactions in his bank accounts.

The raid team arrived in four vehicles and conducted the search on the 12th floor of Tower 1-D, near Gate 2. Police and PAC (Provincial Armed Constabulary) personnel were stationed at the gate, and society residents were instructed to use Gate 1 for entry and exit during the operation.

Sources reported that lakhs of rupees in cash and several documents were recovered during the raid. The trader’s family was reportedly stunned by the sudden action.

No official statement has been released by the Income Tax Department regarding the operation.
