Ghaziabad: Pollution Check Certificate Rates Hiked, New Charges Effective From Thursday

Starting Thursday, vehicle owners in Ghaziabad will have to pay higher charges for obtaining pollution under control (PUC) certificates. The revised rates take effect following a provision that allows for a 5 per cent annual increase in the fee for issuing online pollution certificates.

ARTO Manoj Kumar Singh said that the authority to revise the charges rests with the Transport Commissioner. Under the new rates, owners of petrol-run two-wheelers will now pay Rs 70 instead of Rs 65 for a pollution check certificate.

For three- and four-wheeled petrol, LPG and CNG vehicles, the fee has been increased from Rs 85 to Rs 90. 

Meanwhile, the cost of obtaining a pollution certificate for diesel vehicles has gone up from Rs 115 to Rs 120. The revised rates will be applicable across the state from Thursday.
