Residents in Madhopura, Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad, and other areas of Trans-Hindon are facing electricity disruptions due to scheduled maintenance and ongoing supply issues.
As part of the Business Plan, work on the Goshala feeder of the Siddharth Vihar sub-station is scheduled today, resulting in a power cut in Madhopura from 12 noon to 4 pm. Simultaneously, maintenance on the R Block feeder of the Charan Singh Colony sub-station will affect A Block, Sector-12, Pratap Vihar, from 2 pm to 5 pm. Sub-Divisional Officer Ramesh Chandra has urged consumers to complete essential tasks beforehand to minimise inconvenience.
Meanwhile, intermittent power cuts continue unabated across Trans-Hindon. On Sunday, residents faced prolonged outages in several localities. In Defence Colony, Bhopura, electricity was disrupted from 9 am due to a 33kV line failure and restored around 11 am, but intermittent cuts persisted for nearly six hours.
In Niti Khand-II, Indirapuram, power went out at 1 pm and was restored after about three hours, with residents reporting delayed responses from officials. Vaishali Sector-5 also experienced outages lasting around four hours during the day.
Deepak Agarwal, Chief Engineer of Vidyut Nigam Zone-3, stated that electricity supply is being provided according to the scheduled roster, and any reported issues are resolved promptly. Residents, however, continue to demand a permanent solution to the recurring power cuts.
