The Ghaziabad Electricity Corporation has prepared a district-wide list of beneficiaries under its upcoming electricity bill relief scheme, set to begin on 1 December. A total of 67,977 defaulters will receive major concessions, including a 100 per cent waiver on surcharge (interest) and a 25 per cent discount on the principal amount, provided they clear their outstanding dues in one go.
To maximise participation, the corporation has launched an awareness drive across all areas, issuing notices, making public announcements, and informing consumers through calls.
