The deadline for filing objections to the proposed list of new circle rates for land in Ghaziabad district has now passed, and the process of resolving the objections has begun. Following this, a revised list of circle rates will be published. The proposal includes an increase of 15 to 40 per cent in property rates across the district, which could make buying land and homes more expensive.
During the objection period, farmers raised concerns that the proposed rates for their land were too low. Residents from seven villages linked to the Harnandipuram Project filed objections, particularly from areas surrounding NH-9 and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway, requesting further increases in circle rates. AIG (Stamps) Pushpendra Kumar said the objections would be resolved soon, after which, with the approval of the District Magistrate, the new circle rates will be published this month.

Separately, the Sun City township project, originally planned over 2,500 acres, will now be developed on 2,420.11 acres. This includes land from the villages of Dasna, Bayana, Nayaphal, Sadikpur Kajipura, Sadatnagar Ikla, and Raghunathpur.
The GDA received 211 objections and suggestions regarding the revised Detailed Project Report (DPR), all of which have been addressed. The committee deliberated on various aspects of the revised DPR during a meeting on Tuesday at the GDA auditorium.
According to GDA Vice-Chairman Atul Vats, the revised DPR for 2,420.11 acres will now be presented at the upcoming GDA board meeting. After board approval, the plan will be forwarded to the government, allowing development work in the township to progress.
