Ghaziabad traffic Advisory: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a massive roadshow today, that is, April 6 in UP's Ghaziabad, involving a significant police and security presence throughout the city. PM Modi will launch the BJP's campaign in western UP for the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024 with this roadshow. For the same, the Ghaziabad traffic police has released an advisory asking commuters to stay off specific routes for the day.
The route of Modi's roadshow will pass through Chaudhary Mod in Gandhi Nagar, Ghaziabad, and Maliwara Chowk in Naya Ganj. As the prime minister promotes Atul Garg, the BJP's candidate for the Lok Sabha, more than two lakh people are anticipated to attend the roadshow.
According to the traffic advisory, every vehicle crossing the border will be inspected by the Ghaziabad Police.
Ghaziabad Traffic Advisory: Routes To Avoid
Beginning at 1 PM on April 6, all routes between Chaudhary Mod and Lal Kuan, Atmaram Steel and Diamond, Alt intersection and Meerut Tiraha, Tulsi Niketan and Karangate roundabout, Jalnigam T-point and Meerut trisection, Vasundhara Bridge and Mohannagar, and Seemapuri and Mohannagar will be completely closed to heavy and commercial vehicle traffic.
The traffic police also stated that from 2:00 PM, city buses and public transportation will not be restricted in their movement, and starting at 3:30 PM, autos and e-rickshaws will not be permitted in various areas.
Private two-wheelers and four-wheelers will not be permitted on Ghaziabad's 14 main road segments on Saturday. The road segments are: Rakesh Marg to Chaudhary Morh; Lohia Nagar Tiraha to Old Bus Stand; RDC Bridge Hapur Chungi Side to Old Bus Stand; Sihani Gate Police Station to Old Bus Stand; Ghukna Mode to Meerut Tiraha; Siddharth Vihar intersection to Meerut Tiraha; Basant Chowk to Maliwara Chowk; Ramte Ram Road to Maliwara Chowk; Ramte Ram Road to Chaudhary Mode/Ghantaghar; Gaushala to Dudhevshranath Temple; Vijaynagar Dhobi Ghat Railway Bridge to Chaudhary Morh; Meerut Tiraha U-turn to Hapur Tiraha; Nandgram Tiraha to Meerut Tiraha; and Rotary Roundabout to Hindon River Metro station.
