Gonda News: Two people were killed and a woman sustained injuries after a car in the convoy of Karan Bhushan Singh, BJP candidate from Kaiserganj Lok Sabha seat, hit the bike near Baikunth Degree College on Colonelganj-Huzoorpur road in Gonda, Uttar Pradesh. The injured have been admitted to hospital and police personnel have been deployed in the area to ensure law and order.

According to Kernalganj SHO Nirbhay Narayan Singh, the deceased were identified as Rehan Khan (17) and Shehzad Khan (20). Rehan and Shehzad were riding on a motorcycle when they were hit by a vehicle near a school. The SUV that hit the duo lost control and also hit Sita Devi (60) who was walking on the roadside, the SHO said.

The police seized the car and the case has been registered under the appropriate sections. The driver of the Fortuner was also arrested, the police said. 

"...Rehan and Shehzad, the two were on the bike when they met an accident. Police took them to hospital where both were declared dead. Bodies are sent for the postmortem. A case has been registered under the appropriate sections. Fortuner has been taken into custody. The driver of the Fortuner is also arrested..." Additional SP Radhe Shyam Rai said as quoted by news agency ANI.

Recently, the BJP decided to give a Kaiserganj ticket to Karan instead of the sitting MP Brij Bhushan. Kaiserganj Lok Sabha constituency is one of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. For this constituency, the election was successfully held on May 20.
