The Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) is going to construct a new 20 MVA capacity substation for the Dhuriyapar industrial area to ensure an uninterrupted power supply in the region. The project will cost approximately Rs 8.5 crore.
The new substation is set to ensure an uninterrupted power supply to industries, with continuous development work being carried out in the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA). GIDA has also allotted land to the two large industrial companies in Dhuriyapar.
Additionally, a plan has been prepared for a Bhumi Pujan (land worship ceremony) and a foundation stone laying ceremony for both industrial units, in the presence of the Chief Minister, after GIDA day.
In this context, the GIDA administration is placing special emphasis on basic facilities. The 20 MVA capacity substation has been planned in the Sector 5 Industrial Area of the Dhuriyapar Industrial Area.
“With the new substation, factories will not face any problems with power supply. In addition, a plan has been prepared by GIDA to provide other facilities,” said Suresh Yadav, Manager, GIDA.
