The Greater Noida Authority has cleared the construction of a 12 MLD capacity Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) in the IT City, at an estimated cost of Rs 42 crore. The plant, which will be built with tertiary treatment technology, is expected to be ready within a year.

The decision, approved by Authority CEO NG Ravi Kumar, aligns with the target of achieving 100 per cent sewage treatment in the city. Officials said the project will also ensure compliance with National Green Tribunal (NGT) directives to reduce faecal content, TDS, and BOD-COD levels in treated water, thereby curbing water pollution.
