In an unfortunate incident, a 20-year-old man allegedly died by suicide on Thursday after he jumped from the sixteenth floor of a high-rise apartment in Greater Noida, the officials said.
After getting the information, the Bisrakh Police reached the spot. According to the police, the deceased was identified as Aryan Sharma who lived in an apartment in Gaur City Centre and belonged to Uttar Pradesh's Bareilly. Providing additional details, the police said that Sharma jumped from the sixteenth floor and fell on the third and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The doctors, however, declared him dead.
The body was sent for post-mortem and the police were investigating the matter, which prima facie seems to be a suicide. Police are trying to unravel whether the youth was alone at the time of the incident or if someone else was also present. The police have contacted the family of the deceased.
Woman dies by suicide after jumping from 21st floor in Noida
Earlier on April 19, a 21-year-old woman allegedly died by suicide after she jumped from the 21st floor of Lotus Boulevard in Noida's Sector 100.
The woman took the extreme step while on a phone call, the police suspected. The police said the incident took place at around 3 am and the woman belonged to UP's Moradabad. She was a third-year BJMC student at a private college in Gurgaon. She took her life after an argument over a phone call.
As per a senior officer from Sector 39 police station, the deceased had returned home late after attending a party. He said, "Around 3am, she was on a phone call in the flat and was heard arguing loudly with someone. Moments later, she jumped from the balcony of the 21st-floor flat."
