A man was murdered by two brothers on Kithore Marg, in the Thana Dehat area, following an argument after he asked for payment for eggs. Police have filed a report against the two named accused based on a complaint from the victim's family, subsequently arresting one alleged assailant while searching for the second.
In the police report, Zulfiqar, a resident of Mohalla Bakand in Asoda village, stated that he owns a canteen named Uvesh Gulzar Confectionery on Kithore Marg, which includes an egg stall. On Monday evening, Zulfiqar was at his canteen with his brother-in-law, Gulzar.
According to the complaint, Zulfiqar's nephew, Arman, suddenly ran up to the canteen, pursued closely by Aman and his younger brother Adish, residents of Mohalla Ahsan Nagar. Zulfiqar stated that the two brothers had taken eggs and started an argument when Arman asked for payment.
During the dispute, Aman allegedly stabbed Arman in the side. As Arman fell to the ground bleeding, Adish reportedly attacked him with a brick. The assailants fled the scene when they saw local people approaching.
The complainant, with the help of others, rushed the injured Arman to a nearby hospital. He was then referred to a private hospital on Garh Road but died on the way.
Upon receiving the information, Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Patnish Kumar arrived at the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for a post-mortem examination. The SHO confirmed that a murder case has been registered against Aman and Adish. Police have arrested Aman, and a search is underway to arrest the fugitive accused, Adish, soon.
Victim's Uncle Alleges Pre-Existing Enmity
Zulfiqar stated that the accused frequently caused fights and disturbances. He alleged that there had been a previous argument between the accused and Arman a few days ago, and claimed that the accused had been "seeking an opportunity to kill him" ever since.
On Monday evening, Arman had returned home from his in-laws' house with his wife, Shahreen. At around 6 pm, he left the house and was reportedly cornered by the attackers on the way. He managed to escape and ran to the canteen, but the attackers followed him and carried out the fatal assault.
Family Devastated By The Murder
The news of Arman's death has devastated his family. Arman had married Shahreen, from Salai village, on August 7, 2025. Shahreen, who is one and a half months pregnant, is reportedly distraught from the shock. Arman's father Imran, mother Iram, brother Ahad, and sisters Asba and Afreen, are also in a terrible state. The grieving couple said that those who killed their son should also face death.
