A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a worker was found in the forest of Galand village on Reliance Marg, under the jurisdiction of the Pilkhuwa police station, on Saturday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Neetu, a resident of Galand village who worked at a private company. His body was discovered with severe head injuries.

According to the police complaint filed by the victim's wife, Lata, Neetu left home on Friday night for some work but failed to return. After a frantic search throughout the night yielded no results, the family reported him missing.

The search came to a tragic end on Saturday around 7 am when villagers found Neetu's body lying in the forest. His family rushed to the scene and alleged that he had been murdered, stating that the injuries on his head appeared to have been inflicted with a brick. It was also noted that parts of the body had been mauled by wild animals.
