In a press statement on Thursday, InterGlobe Aviation Ltd declared that it will begin direct flights from Hindon, Uttar Pradesh, to eight locations in India. IndiGo plans to start direct flights from Hindon to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Patna, and Varanasi on July 20, 2025. In the National Capital Region, this airport serves as the airline's second connection.

"Our expansion into Hindon is a strategic move offering an additional gateway for millions in the wider catchment area," Vinay Malhotra, head of global sales at IndiGo, said. "With over 70 weekly departures to eight key cities, our endeavour is to increase travel convenience, drive business mobility and foster economic growth."

"The ever-developing airport infrastructure in India allows us to provide convenient flight options and enhanced connections," Malhotra said.

Currently, IndiGo connects more than 85 locations across its network with more than 1,500 weekly departures from Delhi. Hindon ranks 136th overall and 93rd domestic on IndiGo.

With this introduction, the business hopes to provide connection and travel alternatives for those living in Ghaziabad, east Delhi, and other areas of western Uttar Pradesh.

Hindon was selected by the company because of its advantageous location and closeness to important economic regions like Noida and East Delhi, which the company claimed are essential for connection and trade.
