Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanth while addressing an employment fair in Gorakhpur said that Israel selected 5,000 youths for employment opportunities in the middle-eastern country. CM Yogi Adityanath emphasised that Israel recruited more youths from the state against the original target which initially aimed to pick 2,000 workers from Uttar Pradesh. 

"The state government through its vocational education department has mediated employment for the state youth in Israel, Russia and Germany," CM Adityanath said. He added that the people selected for jobs in Israel will receive free meals, accommodation and a monthly salary of Rs 1.5 lakh after completing their ITI courses, CM Adityanath said.

The chief minister while speaking at the employment fair at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMUT) on Sunday also stated the Department of Vocational Education is working to develop new courses at par with global standards.

CM Yogi Adityanath also urged technical institutions such as ITIs and polytechnics to understand the demands of the industry and design courses accordingly. 

"Youth should be guaranteed both jobs and security. It is essential to connect the youth with training for their empowerment. There is also a need to include them in the CM Internship Program, wherein the government and the industry jointly fund their stipends with each contributing 50 per cent of the amount, allowing them to be self-reliant during their education," he said as quoted by news agency IANS.

He stated that the investment proposals worth Rs 40 lakh crore were received during the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 which will employ 1.10 crore youths. He asked youths to enrol in language training programmes to prepare better for employment abroad. He said there is a great demand for skilled nursing professionals in Germany and other job opportunities in Southeast Asian countries and the Middle East.
