Given rising water levels and flood-like conditions in Hamirpur district, the Kanpur traffic police have implemented special diversion routes for all heavy vehicles on August 4 and 5 as a precautionary measure. The step aims to ensure public safety and maintain smooth traffic flow around affected areas.

According to officials, heavy vehicles headed toward Hamirpur via Ghatampur and the Yamuna bridge have been rerouted as follows:

-From Unnao: Heavy vehicles will take a left turn from Ramadevi intersection, proceed via Chaudgara (Fatehpur), and reach their destination through Chillaghat bridge and Banda.

-From Naubasta: Vehicles intending to travel via Ghatampur will turn right at Naubasta intersection, then left from Bhaunti bypass, and move through Sachendi, Barajod (Kanpur Dehat), Pukhrayan, Bhognipur, Kalpi, and Jolhupur turn.

-From Bhaunti Bypass: Similar to the above route, vehicles will turn left from Bhaunti bypass at Sachendi Barajod (Kanpur Dehat) and follow the Pukhrayan–Bhognipur–Kalpi–Jolhupur route.

-From Auraiya: Heavy vehicles will divert right from Barajod (Kanpur Dehat) and continue through Pukhrayan, Bhognipur, and Jolhupur to turn to reach Hamirpur.

-From Ramaipur, Bidhanu, Patara: These vehicles will turn right from the Ghatampur intersection, then proceed via Musanagar and Manki bridge, reaching their destination through Kurara.

To ensure traffic management, police personnel have been deployed at all major diversion points, including Ramadevi intersection, Naubasta intersection, and Ghatampur intersection.
