Kanpur Traffic Advisory: In anticipation of a large crowd of devotees at Shiva temples on the last Monday of Sawan, the Kanpur Traffic Police has announced diversions on several key routes. Traffic will remain diverted in the city till August 4. The authorities have implemented a diversion system near Ganga Barrage, Blue World intersection, Company Bagh Square and several other locations and have also announced parking arrangements for vehicles. The administration has advised authorities to follow the traffic diversion plan to avoid inconvenience.
Kanpur Traffic Advisory For August 4
Heavy and medium vehicles coming from Bilhaur will not be able to go towards Mandhna intersection via Chaubepur. Vehicles will go to their destination via Chaubepur crossing.
No heavy and medium vehicles will be able to go towards Kalyanpur crossing from Mandhna intersection. These vehicles will go to their destination via the left Ganga Barrage.
No heavy and medium vehicles will go towards Bithoor from the Blue World intersection. They will go to their destination via the barrage.
No heavy and medium vehicles will be able to go from Ganga Barrage towards Karbala Square or Company Bagh Square. Instead, they will be able to reach their destination via Mandhna or Shuklaganj.
No heavy and medium vehicles will be able to go towards Siddhanath Ghat from Bima Chowk. Vehicles will go directly to their destination via JK Chowk. Additionally, no heavy or medium vehicles will be able to go from Shivrajpur towards Fatehpur Chaurasi.
No heavy and medium vehicles will be able to go from Yash Kothari Square towards Singhpur, Kalyanpur or from Yash Kothari Square towards Bithoor town. The vehicles will be able to go to their destination from Mandhna or from the Ganga Barrage.
Kanpur Traffic Diversion: Parking Arrangement In THESE Areas
Authorities have arranged parking arrangements for vehicles at several locations, including: near Bakkal Parking at Permat Mandir; on the left side of the road from the Tefco main gate to Bakkal Parking; from Union Bank junction to DAV junction on both sides of the road behind Green Park Stadium; on both sides of the road from Green Park Crossing to Sharab Gaddi intersection; in the vacant field opposite Jayanti Palace (Mandhana–Bithoor Road); in the empty field near Chungi Chauraha (Kalyanpur–Bithoor Road); and in open fields along Chobepur–Bithoor Road."
