International Labor Day was observed with awareness seminars and a range of programs across the UP’s Bahraich district. A key event was held at Vihaan Girls School, where the chief guest, MLC Dr Pragya Tripathi, along with Additional District Judge Virat Shiromani and Assistant Labor Commissioner Siddharth Modiani, addressed the gathering.

The Additional District Judge spoke about the provision of free legal justice for people from weaker sections of society. Meanwhile, the Assistant Labor Commissioner highlighted welfare schemes aimed at uplifting the working class. Dr Pragya Tripathi appreciated the cultural programs presented by the girls and distributed cash prizes to the participants.

In a significant moment, beneficiaries from the Labor Department were honored with checks. Mohammad Alam and Ugrasen Singh were each presented with Rs 55,000 for their daughters' marriages, while Hariom Tiwari and Vivek Kumar received checks for Rs 31,000 each. Others present at the event included Suraj Tiwari, BD Lakhmani, Hindu Gautam, Dharmendra Verma, Priyanka Srivastava, Shraddha Raikwar, Bhuratna Prabha, and Nidhi Dubey.

Other celebrations took place at Guru Kripa Divine Grace Public School, where employees were recognised for their hard work and contributions. The students presented engaging programs, emphasising the importance of Labor Day and the invaluable efforts of those who work behind the scenes to ensure the smooth functioning of society. To further honor the staff, Director Principal Jay organised a free eye check-up camp, conducted by Dr Suraj Mishra.

In Nanpara, Seth Anand Ram Jaipuria School hosted a special event, where students showcased cultural performances, and employees were gifted in appreciation of their dedication. Director Anil Agarwal, Prateek Agarwal, and Anand Poddar were present to mark the occasion.

Additionally, DFO of Bahraich Forest Division, Ajit Pratap Singh, conducted a medical examination for 34 workers and distributed gifts in recognition of their service on Labor Day.
