The Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSIA) in Lucknow has been upgraded to Level-2 certification by Airports Council International (ACI) World, recognising its improved passenger service standards. The airport earlier held Level-1 certification, which it received in 2022.
The certification, which ranges from Level 1 to Level 5, evaluates airports based on passenger experience and service quality, with Level 5 being the highest. The latest upgrade reflects the airport's continued efforts to enhance the travel experience for passengers.
According to the airport spokesperson, the Level-2 recognition was granted after a thorough assessment by ACI World of facilities and services offered at Terminal 3, including check-in and arrival areas, information desks, DG Yatra registration, and the support provided by customer service officers.
Passenger-assistance initiatives such as boarding pass printing, self-baggage drop, and Digi Yatra registration were also evaluated. Additionally, ACI reviewed common-use self-service kiosks, e-gates, and aerobridges at the departure courtyard, affirming their role in enhancing operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
The certification was awarded to the airport's operator, Lucknow International Airport Limited (LIAL), marking another step in the airport's journey toward achieving world-class service standards.
