Hours before the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya, a letter threatening to blow up the prominent buildings in Lucknow has been recovered, according to a report by Jagran.com.
According to the information, the four-line letter was found in the washroom of Lucknow's Lulu Mall, which threatened to blow up a few of the prominent state capital buildings within 24 hours.
Soon after the recovery of the letter, the Lucknow Police swung into action, and checks at all buildings at the major landmarks in the city are being conducted.
Speaking about the letter, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central, Jitendra Dubey, said that the letter threatens to blow up several prominent buildings and school buildings in the capital.
Following the threat, police teams, along with dog squads and BDS, conducted checks at several locations, including the Hazratganj Assembly area. All suspicious individuals, including vehicles and suspicious objects, were checked. Meanwhile, CCTV footage is being used to identify the letter's author.

Ayodhya gears up 'Dhwajarohan'
Meanwhile, in Ayodhya, the authorities have tightened security arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit on Tuesday to ceremonially hoist a saffron flag on the spire of the Ram temple.
The flag hoisting will symbolise the completion of the construction of Ram Janmabhumi Temple, officials said on Monday.
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, an impenetrable security cover has been established (in Ayodhya), ensuring strict law-and-order management across the city, an official statement said.

As part of the security arrangements, a total of 6,970 security personnel, including commandos from the ATS, NSG snipers, cyber experts, and technical teams, have been deployed.
At the temple and surrounding areas, the authorities have operationalised anti-drone technology and advanced monitoring systems.
