Lucknow: Class 7 Girl Went To Meet Insta Friend, Gang-Raped For Two Days In Hotel

A minor girl was confined in a hotel room and gang-raped by three men. The student had become acquainted with the main accused through Instagram. After two days, she was left outside her home, following which her mother lodged a police complaint.

The victim, a Class 7 student, had agreed to meet an Instagram 'friend', but the meeting turned horrifying when she was trapped in a hotel room in Lucknow and sexually assaulted for two days. Police have filed a case and detained two suspects, while the prime accused who enticed the minor is still absconding.

According to the girl's mother, her daughter had connected with a man named Vimal Yadav on Instagram. They began chatting and speaking over the phone.

On November 2, Vimal called the minor to meet him. When she arrived, she saw Vimal with two other men, Piyush Mishra and Shubham Shukla. The trio was in a Scorpio SUV, and Vimal invited the girl for a ride. After she entered the vehicle, they drove toward IIM Road and checked into a hotel.

As reported by NDTV, the accused confiscated the girl's phone, held her captive in the hotel room, and took turns raping her. Two days later, they abandoned her near her house and escaped.

The girl's mother said that her daughter was deeply traumatised and broke down when questioned about her whereabouts. The minor revealed that the men assaulted her physically when she resisted and threatened to leak videos of the attack, according to the mother's complaint.

Police have registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Piyush and Shubham have been arrested, and the search for the main accused continues.

“We have registered a complaint under relevant sections and taken two accused, Piyush and Shubham, into custody. Further action is being taken,” a police statement said.
