Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday made a startling claim regarding the 2024 Haryana Assembly Election, alleging that 25 lakh votes were stolen, in what he described as a massive case of electoral malpractice by the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Addressing a press conference at the AICC headquarters in Delhi, the Lok Sabha LoP alleged that a Brazilian model registered as a voter in Haryana voted 22 times on at least 10 different booths.

"Congress lost the election by 22,000 votes, but who is this lady? She votes 22 times in Haryana, in 10 different booths in Haryana. She has multiple names. That means this is a centralised operation. The lady is a Brazilian model. That’s a stock photograph, and she is one of 25 lakh such records in Haryana," Rahul Gandhi said.

He further said that BJP’s win was fixed through "fake votes" and "massive manipulation" of postal ballots.

Gandhi questioned the Election Commission of India, claiming that he had 100 per cent proof of the manipulation.

He said, "All polls pointed to a Congress victory with 52 to 62 seats, yet the results were entirely different."

"For the first time in Haryana’s electoral history, postal votes didn’t match the trend of normal votes," he added.

The Congress MP mentioned that his party lost by a margin of 22,000 votes, however, there was a total vote difference of 1.18 lakh.

"There has been a 25 lakh vote chori in Haryana, 12.5 per cent fake votes. Around 93,000 addresses were invalid," Gandhi alleged.
