The city recorded dense fog on Monday, December 15, that caused major disruption for commuters in Lucknow. Several flights and trains reported a significant delay due to low visibility.
Several flights reported a delay in the departure time, with Air India flight AI 2499 from Delhi to Lucknow taking off at 9 am instead of 6 am, while IndiGo airline's Delhi-Lucknow flight 6E 2107 is to depart at 11:05 am instead of 8:30 am. Flight 6E 523 from Lucknow to Hyderabad, scheduled to depart at 7:15 am, left at 9:20 am.
Similarly, Air India flight AI 2500 to Delhi departed at 10:45 am instead of its scheduled 8 am. The flight to Riyadh, IX 189, was rescheduled from 9 am to 11 am, the flight to Mumbai, IX 1027, from 9:25 am to 10:25 am, and flight 6E 6902 to Patna was rescheduled from 10:30 am to 12:45 pm.
Along with this, several trains arrived late, including the Lucknow Mail, which was delayed from New Delhi by 30 minutes and the Begumpura Express by one hour. The 13238 Kota Patna Express was 3 hours and 30 minutes late.

The 12430 AC Express, 12232 Chandigarh Superfast, 15012 Chandigarh Lucknow Junction Express, and 13308 Ganga Sutlej Express were all delayed by 1 hour and 45 minutes, while the 13010 Doon Express was 1 hour and 1 minute late.
